I had to write about a great experience for a change. You see I recently installed Leopard as did so many apple fanboys, and during my binge and purge process, and in all of my backing up and restoring, I somehow managed to lose a couple of albums I’d recently purchased on Itunes. Now I did back up my purchases, but for whatever reason when restoring my Iphone, two recently purchased albums wen bye bye. So, I got in touch with the Itunes folks and let them know of my quandry.
Now, this is far from a big ticket item. We are talking about $17 worth of mp3’s. I emailed my issue in because I had trouble logging the problem via the website. I was responded in a few hours after receiving an immediate confirmation of my issue, and low and behold got a letter explaining how they were sorry I’d experience these troubles, and quickly via a link showed me how to re install my lost music. Quick and painless. Now they could have made me jump through some hoops. Afterall, I am sure people do this everyday, and fraud probably runs rampant.
However, it was the approach that made me say DAMN!! Just like my local Apple store. Customer service. They just get it at Apple. They hear you out, and simply take ownership and fix it. That said, I am sure they have many moments where they may slip up or make mistakes. Pleas chime in if this is the case. I want to hear peoples issues with Apple. I am a convert of 2 years now and loving my Imac, and MBP core2 duo tremendously!!
Oh yeah,, Leopard is cool too.
